Donald L. Vickers

Vickers, Donald L., 82, loving husband, father, and grandfather, died on December 22, 2012. He was an employee of Dillons for 28 years. He was born on October 12, 1930. He was preceded in death by his parents J.E. Naomi Vickers, his sisters Ruth Gausman, Loramae Callendar, and his brothers, James Victor Vickers. He is survived by Jean, his loving wife of 63 years, his son James (Chris) Vickers of Eureka, Kansas, daughters Pamela (Dean) Brauer of Wichita, Patricia (Bert) Ickler of Las Cruces, New Mexico, 12 grandchildren and 15 (and one on the way) great-grandchildren, sister-in-laws Ellen Vickers (Seymour, Tennessee) and Billye Vickers (Beaumont, Texas), nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life on January 19, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Downing Lahey Mortuary East, 6555 E. Central, Wichita.
