Christy, Donald L. “Don”, 60, President of General Distributors Inc., passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010. Rosary is 7:00 PM Wednesday at Downing Lahey Mortuary East and Funeral Mass is 11:00 AM Thursday at Church of the Magdalen. Preceded in death by father, LaRue and brother, Richard. Survivors: wife, Jo Ann; sons, Richard (Dana) of Longmont, CO, Kevin (Stacy), Steve (Lisa) and Jeff Christy, all of Wichita; mother, Eva Christy of Wichita; siblings, Kathleen Corbitt, Diana Woodle, Patricia Gates, Deborah Miller, Connie Le, David Christy, Mark Christy and Theresa Floyd; grandchildren, Amelia, Gage, Dane, Caleb and Rand Christy. Memorials: Catholic Charities, 532 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67214 and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, KS Chapter, 300 N. Main, Suite 300, Wichita, KS 67202.

Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
Don and your entire family will remain in my thoughts and prayers. I know he is in a place that he spent his life working towards, and I like the thought of him walking with his father again. All though I dont have the Don experience to look forward to anymore, I cant help but feel selfish wishing God could of called for him a little later. Don will be missed, even though he is still with us.

We are sorry for the loss of a dear loved one Don Christy. He was a wonderful man. He was also a great friend. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. I knew him through jim that works at GDI. I became a friend of him through James Hill. Don Christy was my cancer supporter. R.I.P Don Christy.
I am so sorry that Don lost his fight… He was a great guy. I will remember him fondly. My sympathies and prayers are with you JoAnn and the family.
Our hearts and prayers go out to Joanne and the entire Christy family during this most difficult time. We are thinking of you all and send our love and many thoughts during your time of sorrow. He will always be with us, by remembering the wonderful moments that we were able to spend with him on this earth. His warm smile, his kind words and support, his generous attitude, and willingness to help others.There will be tears shed while we deal with this great loss, but we must also celebrate because our lives were touched by such a wonderful man. JoAnn you have been so strong through all this. So, sorry Don had such a hard fight. Still Praying and hoping you will find comfort in the days to come.
