Jannie Christine “Chris” Thurston-Enegren, 100, restaurant owner and saleswoman for Fairs Shoes, passed away Friday, May 22, 2015. Visitation, 7-8 p.m., Thursday, May 28, Downing Lahey Mortuary West. “Give Me A Good Homecoming” service will be 1 p.m., Friday, May 29, Westside Freewill Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Horace and Lille Bell (Bean) Charters; husbands, Marvin Thurston and Swede Enegren; son, Merle Thurston, and brothers, Albert and Harry Charters. Survivors: children, Melvin Thurston (Patricia), Larry Thurston (Nancy); stepchildren, Phil Enegren (Linda), Phyllis Newby; sister-in-law, Lida Charters; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
