Farha, Victoria, 96, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25, 2014. Trisagion Funeral Service will be at 7:00 P.M., Monday, December 29, 2014, at St. George Orthodox Christian Cathedral. Graveside Service will be at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Wichita Park Cemetery. Victoria was born November 22, 1918 in Oklahoma City, OK. Victoria was a homemaker and a devout member and servant of St. George Orthodox Christian Cathedral where she remained very active for seventy years. Vickie Farha served as National Vice President of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Women of North America, the Womens Advisor Council for the Institute of Logopedics, and the Womens Association for the Wichita Symphony. Victoria and her husband, William, were actively involved in the YMCA, the Salvation Army, and St. Jude Hospital since its founding in 1957. The Lord and her family were the center of Victorias life. Victoria will especially be remembered for her faith in God, her generous acts of kindness, her loving heart, and her overwhelming hospitality. Many cherished memories will remain in our hearts. Preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William Farah Farha; parents, Fayad and Nahima Barkett; brother, Dr. Vander Barkett; sisters, Najla Aboussie and Grace Jones. Survived by her son, William G. Farha; daughter-in-law, Shirley Farha; two grandchildren, Marisa Farha and William G. Farha, II and wife, Mallory Farha; two great-grandchildren, William G. Farha, III, and Juliet Farha. A memorial has been established with St. George Orthodox Christian Cathedral, 7515 E. 13th St. N., Wichita, KS 67206; or the charity of your choice.
