Carolyn Ruth Biel

KIMBERLING CITY, MO - Carolyn R. Biel, of Kimberling City, Missouri, was born October 2, 1931 in Concordia, Kansas, the only child of Harry and Lois Davies. She attended KSU and studied in the school of Medical Technology. There she met Warren Biel and they were married on June 27, 1954. Left behind to celebrate her life are her husband, Warren; their children, Kent and Kim, along with Kents wife, Lori, and her sons, John and Jared Ahrens and Johns wife, Leighanne, and their children, Gavin and Macyn all from Topeka. Kims family includes husband, Dave Brown from Rose Hill, KS, and their children, Eric Brown of Virginia Beach, VA, and Staci Hunt and her husband, Willie, and son Skyler of Wichita, KS. Carolyn lost her battle with cancer on February 10, 2013 at 12:50 p.m at her home. Warren and Kim were present at her passing. We have not lost Carolyn, even in death. She continues to participate in everything we do, every thought and decision we make. Her love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories. We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared her love. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m., Monday, February 18 at St. Andrews Lutheran Church. Inurnment will be 1 p.m., Saturday, February 23 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Concordia. Downing Lahey Mortuary West in Wichita, KS is in charge of the arrangements.
