Roy, Stella Hoye (Boudreau), 91, retired registered nurse, died Wednesday, December 26, 2007. Rosary 7:00 P.M., Friday, December 28, Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Funeral Mass 10:30 A.M., Saturday, December 29, St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Stella was born and raised in Purcell, OK. She came to Wichita in 1934 and graduated from the St. Francis School of Nursing in 1937. Stella remained in Wichita, working as a nurse, with a specialty in pediatrics. She also met and married Joe Hoye and together, they had 3 children. She went back to work, and specialized in Pediatric Nursing. She was involved as a leader in many church and community organizations: altar society, guilds, PTA, Nursing Alumnus groups. Stella had a gift for nurturing priests in their vocations by including them in her family celebrations. Stella was an excellent seamstress, cake decorator, candy maker and crafter. Her most memorable personality traits that endeared her to her family and many friends were her sensitive caring, her sense of humor and love of fun. Preceded in death by her parents, Emile and Nelda Boudreau, first husband, Joseph R. Hoye, grandson, Sean OShea, brothers, George, Steve, Ray, Frenchie and Tony and second husband, George Roy. Survivors: children, Mary Kay Hoye OShea of Redmond, WA, William Hoye (Pat) of Ballwin, MO and Patricia Hoye Roach of Wichita; siblings, Mary Mathison of Rayneham, MA and William Boudreau (Pat) of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Michael OShea, Brian OShea, Jason Roach, Kathleen Roach, Rebecca Hoye and Joe Hoye. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupr, 10018 Avenue Royale, Ste-Anne-De-Beaupr, (Quebec) Canada, GOA 3CO and Home Healthcare Connections, 4747 S. Emporia, Wichita, KS, 67216.
