Arthur Tom Medkeff

Medkeff, Arthur “Tom”, 86, died peacefully in his sleep as a result of complications from heart bypass surgery on Friday, December 26, 2008. Services were held in Wichita, KS. Tom, a lifelong resident of Cuyahoga Falls and Tallmadge, OH and his wife, Helen, recently moved to Wichita, to live with their daughter, Kathleen and son-in-law, Ron Stone. He is survived by his wife, daughter, Kathleen and granddaughter, Robyn Stone (Pete) Maharry of Kansas City, MO. Tom was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Force in the Pacific Theater. After the war, he returned to the Akron area. He was President of Medkeff-Nye Corporation, a design and engineering firm specializing in design and production of machinery to produce and package latex products such as surgical gloves and other medical products, as well as other items such as balloons. Tom was preceded in death by his three brothers, Robert, Harold and Virgil Jr., and his sisters, Irene and Jean. His greatest love was for his family, especially his granddaughter, who is a physical therapist in the Kansas City area. Donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 35, P.O.
