William F. Woodman

Woodman, William F., 82, retired U. S. Army, died Monday, February 11, 2008. Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 15 at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery, Winfield, KS. Bill began his career in WWII with the 17th Airborne Gliders. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and 2 Army Commendation Medals. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Elisabet. Survivors are his son, Wolfgang Woodman (Carolyn), grandchildren, Greg Woodman, Kevin Woodman Joanne White (David), great-grandchildren, Dederick, Cooper Lydia White, all of Wichita; brother, Fred Woodman (Edna) of Brighton, CO, sister, Eva Endicott of Anchorage, AK, many nieces nephews. Memorials may be sent to the Boy Scouts of America, 1555 E. 2nd, Wichita, KS, 67214. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
