Robert James Hagadorn, Jr.

Robert James Hagadorn Jr., 77, was born on December 31, 1933, to Janet and Robert Hagadorn of Troy, New York, and died Monday, December 26, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Beverly Ann Hagadorn; wife of 21 years, Olga Mayulianos Hagadorn; son, Robert James Hagadorn III; and daughter Carol Baggette. He is survived by his brother, John Lehman Hagadorn of Boynton Beach, FL; son Robert L. Newell of Whippany, NJ; grandchildren Stacy Fernandez, Charles Newell, Joseph Baggette, and Michelle Patat; as well as numerous great-grandchildren. In 1953, Robert enlisted in the Navy and was discharged as an Electronic Technician First Class in 1957. Upon discharge, Robert entered Siena College, a Franciscan Catholic College in Loudonville, NY, earning his Bachelor in Accounting, cum laude. He joined the firm Price Waterhouse. In 1975, moved to Wichita to establish an internal audit department for an international oil and gas company. Robert elected early retirement in 1987 and entered the retail business with Betty and David Moore, doing business as Winstons/RSVP, with whom he lived for the last twenty years of his life. Throughout life, Robert nurtured a love for music by singing in numerous choruses, including the First United Methodist Chancel Choir, Wichita Symphony Chorus, and the Wichita Broadway Singers. A Celebration of Life will occur on Saturday, December 31, 2011, at 11 AM at First UMC, Wichita. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Music Ministry of First UMC, Wichita, Calvary UMC, Wichita or the Wichita Broadway Singers. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
