Gordon White

Gordon White, 76, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013 surrounded by his family. Gordon is preceded in death by his son, James Michael; parents, James and Ann White; and oldest brother, Ronald. Gordon, along with his parents and two older brothers, emigrated in 1946 from Glasgow, Scotland. After graduating from Springfield, Oregon High School in 1954, Gordon proudly served in the United States Air Force with a brief stint in Wichita, Kansas where he met his wife Waneta Gloria Stephen. They married in 1958 at St Patricks Church in Wichita. Gordon devoted his life to serving others, from his service in the military, his family, and patrons at the various restaurants and country clubs that he operated. Gordon is survived by his wife, Waneta; daughter, Stephanie (Steve Lemasters); sons, Charles (Brenda), Derek (Kathy), Doug (Clara); ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held January 2, 2014 at St. Patricks Catholic Church, Wichita, KS; Rosary will be at 10:00 A.M., Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 A.M.
