Stephey, Cherie Lee, died May 25, 2009 at Newman Regional Hospital in Emporia, KS. Memorial service 11:00 AM, Friday, May 29, 2009, Downing and Lahey Mortuary Wichita KS. Cherie was born April 18, 1957 to Richard and Barbara Stephey. Cherie and her family moved to Newton, KS in 1965 where she attended Jr. High and High School. Cherie attended Wichita State University and served in the National Guards. Cherie was curious about the world and loved to read, something she did everyday. She is survived by her parents, daughter, Tara Coleman of Manhattan, KS; sons, David Coleman of Topeka, KS and Robert Donaldson of Fall River, KS; siblings, Richard W. Stephey of Roswell, NM, Sandy Morgan of Emporia, KS, Diana Nottingham of Wichita, KS, and Robin Carmichael of Wichita, KS; grandson, Malicai; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by son, Anthony Steven Donaldson.
