Service, 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 31, Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Survivors: wife, Laurie; children, Kristen Oliphant (Jerry), Kim Schadrack (Bruce), Laurie Mays (Scott), Chris Rucker and Andy Rucker (Tammy); sisters, Kay Hamilton, wife of the late Steve Hamilton, and Cecilia Schmidt (Don); 9 grandchildren, Cooper, Bradi, Parker, Mallory, Elizabeth, Henry, Hannah, Jonah and Jack. Memorial established with American Legion Post #0256, 4301 W. Pawnee, Wichita, KS 67209.

I was very sorry to hear about Ron. I thought he was a great guy. We played golf together after we met working at Scholfield. We share the same birthday and I’ll miss talking to him every January. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
