Griffiths, William H., 78, beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Rosary 6:30PM, Thursday, September 15, 2011. Funeral mass 10:00AM Friday, September, 16, 2011, both at Church of the Magdalen. Preceded in death by parents Herbert J. Griffiths and Lila L. Ham. William was born February 11, 1933 in Peckville, PA and graduated from Blakely High School (1950) and University of Maryland (1971). He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and Federal Aviation Administration. Survived by wife of 55 years, Celestine (Zelenowski) Griffiths; sister Joan Coursen (Jerry); 5 children: Doreen Hyatt (Jim) of Woodland Park, CO, Diana Hayes (Terry) of Wichita, Donna Williams (Joe) of North Richland Hills, TX, William Griffiths (Debby) of Topeka, and John Griffiths (Laurie) of State College, PA; 10 grandchildren: Kim, Kassie, Ken, Rachel, Jarod, Brooke, Claire, Dominic, Amber and Lisa; 8 great-grandchildren.
