Carol Lynn Davies

Davies, Carol Lynn, 57, devoted mother, wife, grandmother and friend, entered into eternal life, Monday, December 28, 2009, after a long and courageous battle with ALS. Visitation will be 4:00 ~ 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 30 at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. A celebration of her life and the acknowledgement of our loss will be held at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, Thursday, December 31 at 1:30 p.m. Carol retired from Speedy Swims and Wichita Swim Club in 2004. She is survived by her husband, Scott; children, Matt (Raegan Brane), Stephanie (Brian OMara), Austin Brane, Christy (Noel Downing), and Traci Davies; mother, Billie (Richard Davis); brother, Andy Napier; sister, Connie (Rich Speer); and grandchildren, Mackenzie OMara and Tatum Downing. She is preceded in death by her dad, Easmon Napier and her grandparents, Otto and Lottie Copeland, and Vallie and Lonnie Napier. The family wishes to thank all of Carols caretakers: Christina, Robyn, Jodie, Terri, and Barbara. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Carols name with Intrust Bank, N.A., P.O. Box 1, Wichita, KS, 67201, benefiting the Keith Worthington Chapter of the ALS Association and Chapel Hill United Methodist Church
