Boxler, Esther, 97, Service Representative for Southwestern Bell, died Monday, May 26, 2014. Rosary will be at 6:30 P.M., Thursday, May 29, 2014; Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 30, 2014, both at Church of the Magdalen Catholic Church. Graveside Service will be at 11:30 A.M., Saturday, May 31, 2014, at Valley View Cemetery, Garden City, KS. Esther was a great cook, known for her cinnamon rolls and homemade noodles (her specialty). She also volunteered for various organizations. Her family and church were the most important things in her life. Preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Mary Herrman; first husband, Leo A. Moeder; second husband, Ed Boxler; siblings, Leonard Herrman, Irene Raniszewski, Pauline Weber, Abbie Rupp; son-in-law, Louis De Keyser. Survived by her children, Marjory (Moeder) Burchfiel (Robert) of Wichita, Mildred (Moeder) De Keyser of Overland Park, KS; siblings, Isabel Basgall, Paul Herrman, Fr. Gilbert Herrman, Ruth Risser, Ralph Herrman, Edna Mehl, Edward Herrman; 9 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with Church of the Magdalen, 12626 E. 21st St. N., Wichita, KS 67226. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
