Werner, John Joseph “Joe”, 87, died Tuesday, May 27, 2008. Joe will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He was a retired supervisor and 42-year employee of Beech Aircraft. He served in the United States Army during World War II and later in the Air National Guard. Rosary, 7:30 P.M., Friday, May 30; funeral service, 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 31, both at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Preceded in death by son, Mark, and sister, Margaret. Survivors: wife, Loretta; children and their spouses, Greg Werner and Susan Whitaker of Redding, CA, Marilyn and Ed Murphy, Linda and Rod Dix all of Wichita, Bob and Becky Werner of Phoenix, AZ; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. Memorial established with Bishop Carroll Catholic High School, 8101 W. Central, Wichita, KS 67212. Downing and Lahey Mortuary West.
