Winslow, Jewel Alene, 92, retired from NCR, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2009. Graveside service 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 18, Andover cemetery. Preceded in death by brothers, Miles Lacey and Virgil Lacey; sisters, Doramay Beattie and Jerretta Mouser; son, Don Winslow and nephew, Gary Haushaw. Survivors: husband, Carl; sons, Lynn (Trudy) Winslow of Montana, Max (Linda) Winslow of Wichita; sisters, Helda Brooks of WA and Laura Bishop of TX; nieces, Marjorie Hromek, Lorraine Garcia and Donna Pinkston, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A memorial has been established with Home Healthcare Connections, 4747 S. Emporia, Wichita, KS 67216.

I KNOW THE LOSS IS GREAT BUT GOD IS GREATED AND CAN HELP LESSEN THE PAIN CAUSED BY THE LOSS. MAX AND LINDA, MY PRAYERS ARE WITH BOTH OF YOU AND THE OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS AT THIS TIME. YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE MEMORIES TO MAKE YOU SMILE AND WARM YOUR HEART. THERE WILL BE GOOD AND BAD DAYS BUT THE GOOD DAY ARE MORE NUMEROUS AND OUTWEIGH THE BAD DAY.
Jewel was indeed a Jewel. Our prayers to those she left behind. We will all miss her.
Jewel was such a sweet and lovely lady, she was my dad’s first cousin (Merle Lacey), she work with Steve (my husband) at NCR in the 70s until our move to Dallas. Our prayers are with the family during this time of grief and sorrow..May our Lord give you comfort and peace.
