Edna L. Wall

Wall, Edna Louise, 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2014. Edna was born in Tyrone, OK, June 19, 1920. She contracted polio as an infant and the family moved to Wichita, KS for better medical care. She is a graduate of North High and was always very active in the church. Edna was a member of Wellington Place Baptist Church for 80+ years before becoming a member of Crusaders Baptist Church in 2005. She loved her family, yard work, sewing, the color purple, and her large collection of angels. Preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Mollie Johnson; sister, Eileen “Jo” Challans; husband of 41 years, Wayne Wall; son-in-law, Lyle Wynn. Survived by her brother, Ivan (Zoe) Johnson; children, Kathleen Wynn, John (Patti) Wall; grandchildren, Kelly Wynn, Karen Flewelling, Shari Roberts, Staci Braun, Justin Wolfe; 10 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M., Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Downing Lahey East Mortuary. Funeral Service will be at 10:30 A.M., Monday, June 2, 2014, at Crusaders Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Crusaders Baptist Church, 3713 N. Arkansas Ave., Wichita, KS 67204.
