Ritsuko Ito Lorimor

Lorimor, Ritsuko Ito, 87, passed peacefully at home Friday, May 29, 2015. Visitation with the Family will be from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M., Sunday, May 31, 2015; Funeral Service will be at 2:30 P.M., Monday, June 1, 2015, both at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Graveside Service will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at Norton Cemetery, Norton, KS. Loving and faithful wife to Cecil Lorimor who preceded her in death. Also preceded in death by her parents, siblings and beloved daughter, Janet Louise Bird. Survived by her son, John (Iva) Lorimor; grandchildren, Raum Bird, Ryal Bird, John J. Lorimor, Amy M. Hittle, Trenton OReagan; great-grandchildren, Avery Hittle, Isaiah Hittle, Emily Lorimor, Sterling Bird, Spencer Bird, Sabrina Bird, Nicolina Tromblee, Trenton OReagan, Emily OReagan, Jace OReagan, Robin Davis, Cori Christopherson, Andy Pedersen. She was a tiny woman with a huge heart and was known for her service to others. She was a chef in a family-operated nursing home and a caregiver in the Scott County Hospital. She was a hard-working woman that never seemed to sit still. In addition to being a wonderful cook, she enjoyed sewing, knitting, and cross-stitch, was a very talented artist and took pride in her beautiful garden. She will be most remembered for her devotion to her family and the tender loving care she gave them.
