Mary Ann Czarneski

Mary Ann Czarneski, was born July 4, 1938, in Greenleaf, Kansas, the daughter of James and Bernadine Martin. She departed this life at the age of 77 on September 2, 2015. Mary worked at Southwestern Bell for 35 years and for Bank of America for 18 years. She married the love of her life and best friend, Fred Czarneski, on September 17, 1960. Together they had three beautiful girls, Cynthia Fairlie, Christine Czarneski (Mandy) and Connie Wade (Jim) all of Wichita. Other survivors include brother and sister-in-law, James and Maria Martin of Greenleaf; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maxine and Gordon Haynes of Los Angeles, CA and Joyce and Bernie Abrams of Lockloyd, MO; grandchildren, Lauren Wright, Kenneth Fairlie, Macy, Austin and Samantha Knoblauch, Jeremy Wade (Jessica), Laura Wade and Jennifer Wade; 2 great-grandchildren, Ashley and Mathew Wright. Preceded in death by parents, James and Bernadine Martin; sisters, Carol Martin and Rose Riek; brother, Dennis Martin. Rosary, 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 4, Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Funeral Mass, 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 5, St. Anne Catholic Church. Inurnment will be at a later date in Kimeo, KS. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation and love to Marys niece, Keila Holt, for her endless love and care for Mary during the last months of her amazing life. A memorial has been established in Marys memory with Bishop Carroll Catholic High School, 8101 W. Central, Wichita, KS 67212.
