Anthony Ray Nevins

Anthony Ray Nevins, 57, Tool Coordinator, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 after a lengthy illness. He was born January 25, 1959 in Iowa City, IA, moved to Wichita, KS in 1976 where he graduated from Derby High School in 1978. He was an avid Chiefs and Royals fan. Preceded in death by his father, Donald Ray Nevins; grandparents, Lloyd and Dorothy Evans, Carl and Gwendolyn Nevins. Survived by his son, Staff Sgt. Micah (Brittany) Nevins of Wichita; mother, Vanda Evans of Wichita; brothers, Terry (Kathy) Nevins of Augusta, Ted (Jacki) Nevins of Towanda; sister, Tammy (Cecil) Weatherby; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Memorial Service will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East. Friends and family are invited to attend. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Martinsburg, IA. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the American Red Cross, 1900 E. Douglas, Wichita, KS 67214.
