Conradt, Eula I. 97, died peacefully in her sleep Thursday, 09/17/15. Eula was born 08/31/1918 to Ray and Maggie (Green) Worman of Oxford, KS. Eula graduated from the School for the Deaf in Olathe, KS in 1939, and had another year of continuing education at Oxford High School in Oxford, KS. Eula became an expert sign language interpreter and an excellent seamstress. She worked for Cessna Aircraft Company in the upholstery department. She worked for Bricks Mens Wear in Wichita as head of alterations until her retirement in 1983. Eula also led a deaf community choir at Riverside Christian Church and became very active with the deaf group at The Church of the Magdalen. Eula had a wide variety of interests. She could make anything with her hands; knit, needlepoint, curtains, drapes, tablecloths, suits, dresses, coats. You name it, she could make it. Eula is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Charles; her parents; two step-sons, Everett and Ronald Conradt; sister, Geneva Butterworth; and brother, Harold Worman. Eula is survived by her daughter-in-law, Agnes Conradt and granddaughters, Mary Fay (Kevin), Lorraine Lyou (Joseph), Carolyn Lemm (Jeffrey); and grandson, Charles Conradt; niece, Shirley Slack (Lawrence); and nephew, Jim Butterworth (Diane). Eula is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be held at Downing and Lahey East Mortuary, 6555 E. Central, Wichita, on Sunday, 9/20/15, at 4:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at The Church of the Magdalen, 12626 E. 21 St. N., Wichita, on Monday, 9/21/15 at 10:00 a.m. Memorials have been set up with the Wichita Association of the Deaf, 1646 E. Central, Wichita, KS 67214; and Via Christi Broadmoor Assisted Living, 1240 Broadmoor, Wichita, KS 67206.
