Musselman, Marilyn Jean Talley, age 88, died Sunday, February 17, 2013 at her home in Wichita. She was a retired specialist in the U. S. Dept. of Labor. Marilyn was born in 1924, in Wichita, KS. She was the only daughter of Edith G. and Marcus T. Talley of Ness City, KS, and lived there from 1924 until 1974. At that time she moved to Wichita, KS, where she lived until the time of her death. She was married to Paul M. Musselman Dec. 2, 1945; they were divorced Sept. 1969. Marilyn was a member of East Heights United Methodist Church since 1974 and United Methodist Women in Wichita where she held church offices, served on various boards, and sang in chancel choir. She was a life member (over 50 years) of Starlight Chapter #84, Order of the Eastern Star at Ness City, KS. In Ness City she worked with Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, served as president of YWCA and Red Cross and was county chair for the Arthritis Foundation. She was active in the Methodist Church and UMW at Ness City. Survivors are: daughters, Sherron Cheney and husband Bill of Utica, KS, Kathryn Tevebaugh and husband Bill, Joyce Musselman, all of Wichita, KS; son, Gary Musselman and wife Nancy of Silver Lake, KS; five grandsons, C. W. Cheney, Clay Cheney, Zachary Tevebaugh, Paul Musselman and wife Amie, Matthew Musselman; great-granddaughters, Isabella, Janessa, and Sadie Cheney, Avery Musselman; and grand-dogs and cats. Funeral will be at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at East Heights United Methodist Church. A memorial has been established with East Heights UMC United Methodist Women, 4407 E. Douglas Ave., Wichita, KS 67218. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
