Adams, Robert “Bob”, 85, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011. A celebration of Bobs life will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 6, at Central Christian Church Chapel. The graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, at Memorial Park in Tulsa, OK. Bob was born in Lone Wolf, OK. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, receiving silver and bronze stars as well as the good conduct medal. Bob received a degree in Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1950. He was an avid Sooner fan throughout his life. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Neta; children, Melody Adams, Layne Adams (Vicki) and Amy Adams; granddaughters, Lora Shelton and Jessica Swaffer; great-granddaughter, Taylor Shelton; sister, Sandra Southall. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Adams and grandson, Christopher Shelton. Memorials have been established with His Helping Hands, 1441 E. 37th St., Wichita, KS, 67219 and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS, 67202. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
The graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, at Memorial Park in Tulsa, OK.

Neta and family we are thinking of you now. Bob was a special person-such a quiet gentleman. He was a fighter. Neta you will miss him but you did such a great job of carrying for him. We grieve with you, but so glad we had the opportunity to know him.
