Jerold Jerry Haile

Haile, Jerold “Jerry” Wayne, 52, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014. Jerry grew up in Alden and Sterling, Kansas, was an Eagle Scout, graduated from Wichita State University, worked at GSI Engineering, and was passionate about his work and Geology. He was a compassionate man with a huge heart who would do anything for his family and friends, and brought joy and laughter to everyone who knew him. He is loved immensely and will be missed dearly. Preceded in death by his brother, Phillip. Survived by his wife, Nellie; parents, Guy (Fuzz) Bonnie (Morley) Haile of Sterling, KS; children, Ashley Tanner (Jedidiah) of San Angelo, TX, Jeremiah (Kylie) of Sterling, KS, Zechariah of Dallas, TX, Erin (Gregory) of Wichita, Gracie of Wichita; granddaughter, Delanie Haile. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Downing Lahey Mortuary East Chapel. Funeral Service will be 9:30 A.M., Thursday, September 25, 2014, at Word of Life Church, North Campus, 3811 N. Meridian Ave, Wichita. Burial will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, September 25, 2014 in Sterling, KS. Memorials have been established with Boy Scouts of America Troop #369, 606 Evergeen Way, Sterling, KS 67579 and American Legion Post #128 Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 11, Sterling, KS 67579.
