Gwen Lightner

Lightner, Gwen, 88, homemaker, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, September 25 at Old Mission Mausoleum. Gwens hobbies included gardening and bridge as well as being an avid golfer. She was active in Junior League in her younger years. Gwen was born to Pete and Elsie Hoidale in Sioux Falls, SD in 1924. Preceded in death by husband, Robert S. Lightner. Survivors: son, Bob Lightner (Jan) of Wichita; daughter, Cindy Roberts (Carl) of Hotchkiss, CO; grandchildren, Jason Lightner and Ty Lightner. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
