Barsamian, Harry 91, retired Federal Quality Control Engineer, died Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Larksfield Place. Born in Edgeley, ND, Harry was the eldest of 6 children. Parents Shenork and Angela Barsamian settled and raised their family in S. Milwaukee, WI. After serving in the Navy during WWII, Harry graduated with a mathematics degree from Washington University, St. Louis. He had a gifted intellect, curious mind and sharp wit. An avid Green Bay Packers fan, Harry loved to tell about attending games as a teen in frigid weather, seated on icy bleachers. Though he lived a quiet, private life in Wichita, Harry was a proud father who also enjoyed friendships of young and old alike. Especially in later years, Harry was blessed with companionship from devoted care givers, Marcia and Charlene, followed by the kind staff at Larksfield Place. All enriched his life. Preceded in death by his brother, Art Barsamian; sister, Mary Jane Kornblum; grandson, Hadley Davidson. Survived by former wife, Alice Barsamian; children, Ann Davidson (Terry) of Newton, KS, Brian Barsamian of Newport Beach, CA, Sue Barsamian (Bill Romans) of Menlo Park, CA, Mark Barsamian (Carey Snyder) of Athens, OH and 7 cherished grandchildren; also siblings, Rev. Arsen Barsamian of Boston, MA, Pat Antaramian and Bruce Barsamian of Chicago, IL. A celebration of Harrys life will be held at the Barsamian Family Reunion, summer, 2016 in S. Milwaukee, Rev. Arsen Barsamian presiding. A memorial has been established to Larksfield Place, 2828 N. Governeour St., Wichita, KS 67226. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
