Jack Darcy Dunne, Jr.

Dunne, Jr., Jack Darcy, left his earthly home on June 3, 2013 to forever test drive at the Porsche dealership in the sky. Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, June 7, 2013 at 6:00 P.M., at the home of Stephen Dunne, where we can share memories and stories. Preceded in death by his parents, Jack Darcy Dunne, Sr. and Joan G. (Gardner) Dunne; and his sister, Sally Dunne. Survived by: wife, Debbie E. Dunne, of Wichita, KS; children, Katherine Dunne, Margaret Dunne, both of Wichita, Max McCann, of New Orleans, LA, and Kelsey McCann, of Wichita, KS; brothers, Michael Harter (Kathleen) Dunne, of Kailua Kona, HI, Stephen Wilson Dunne, of Wichita. Jack Darcy Dunne was an amazing man, who was able to touch the lives of everyone he met, just by being himself. He was kind, generous, helpful, and most importantly, selfless. Selfless, that is, until you attempted to argue that any school had a better basketball program than KU. In which case, you would always be wrong and he would always be right. Jack was a model example of a father, brother, husband, and friend. The world lost someone truly special; someone who can never be replaced. Let it be known that the next time you think you hear a roll of thunder, its actually Jack up there, smiling while revving the engine of the most beautiful Porsche he has ever layed his eyes and hands on. A memorial has been established with Rivercross Hospice, 251 S. Whittier St., Wichita, KS 67207. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
