Juanita Jane Barnette

Juanita "Jane" Barnette Loving mother, grandmother, aunt and sister. An accountant with a love of traveling and caring for her family, passed Sunday, June 3, 2018, at 90 years young! Memorial Service, 10 a.m., Saturday, June 9th at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Jane Barnes, and sister, Wanda Dooley. Jane grew up in Milton, Kansas, and graduated from Milton High School. She had an adventurous spirit and started working in different secretarial/accounting positions ending up as a top accountant with an oil industry firm. Her hobbies included dancing, traveling and playing cards. She had a positive attitude on life. She always stood up for the less fortunate and lived her life to the fullest. Survived by daughters, Marcia J. (Steve) Wilkey, Candy J. (Tom) Benjamin; brother in-law, Jimmy Dooley; grandchildren, Cheri Adams, Shawn Lamberson, Bret (Charissa) Benjamin, Casey Benjamin and Ashley (Paul) Gorges; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is in our hearts forever and will be missed by family and friends whose lives were better because of her love and friendship.
