Alberta “Bert” “Berty” Harms 89, of Wichita, Kansas, went to be with the Lord on March 10, 2018. Alberta was born on January 14, 1929 to Albert and Mae Dennis in Conway Springs, Kansas. She was married to Paul Harms for thirty-two great years. Bert enjoyed her work as a Boeing Quality Control Supervisor for many years. She loved cooking, baking, sewing, crafts, reading mystery novels, bird watching, and traveling. Bert was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mae Dennis; husband, Paul Harms; step-daughter, Marilyn Stanfield; brothers, Arthur Dennis, James Andrew Dennis; sisters, Anita Dennis, Alethea Bonar, Amelia Maggard, Alma Ricketts; nephews, Terry Ricketts, Dwight Ricketts, Joseph Ricketts. She is survived by sister-in-law, Janice Dennis;  step-children, Michael Harms (Kathy), Carol Harms, Pat Harms, Don Harms, Janet Harms; 13 step-grandchildren; 9 step-great-grandchildren; 1 step-great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews and their families, Mary Martin, Joyce Galyen, Sue Ricketts Hilgardner, Chris Dennis, Steve Dennis, Richard Ricketts, Roy Maggard, Jean Waits, Beverly Little, Wanda Reid; great-nieces and great-nephews, and other family and friends. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, March 16 at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 17 at Antioch Christian Church.  John King will be officiating.  Burial to follow at Resthaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Antioch Christian Church, 3741 W. 15th St. N., Wichita, KS 67203 and The Lord’s Diner, 520 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67214.
