Mike and Janice,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss.
Our prayers are with you and your family.
I worked for a short time last year in the interventional radiology department. Shawn was one of my favorite patients who came in for this treatments. I am so saddened and gasped when I saw his obit in the paper today. He truly loved his family and spoke highly of you mom, dad and brother. He fought hard and loved life. I am deeply saddened and their will be a big void in your family.
I am a radiology nurse who provided care to your son. We enjoyed many deep conversations about our adoration of cinema. His presence, his wit & intelligence were a delight. Thank you for allowing me to care for him.
To Shawns family, I wanted to reach out to you and share our condolences on behalf of an online community that Shawn was a part of. The impact that Shawn had on our community has been undeniable and the individual friendships that we have all made with him are wonderful and cherished. I wanted you to know that we are out here, that we knew him and loved him and that we are missing him dearly although we have never met.
