Mary Covelli

Covelli, Mary, 89, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014. Rosary, 7 p.m., Monday, June 9, Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 10, St. Anthony Catholic Church. Mary was born on a farm in western Kansas in August of 1924. She was blessed with a long and happy life for almost 90 years. Like many wonderful mothers, she taught her children and her husband the experience of unconditional love inspired by a deep faith in God. Preceded in death by her husband, Nick, Mary leaves behind her two children, Nick Covelli and his spouse, Cheryl, of Austin, TX, and Kathie Carney and her spouse, Larry, of Wichita; grandchildren, Nicholas Covelli and his spouse, Maegan, Michael Covelli, all of Austin, TX, Matthew Covelli of Sacramento, CA, Father Lawrence Carney of St. Joseph, MO, Anthony Carney of Wichita, Vincent Carney and his spouse, Shelley, of Kansas City, MO, and great-grandchildren, Johanna, Carolyn and Benjamin. The memory of her beautiful smile and sparkling blue eyes will live on in the hearts and souls of all who knew her.
