Minnie Lou (Howard) Blake

Blake, Minnie Lou (Howard), 85, passed from this world into Heaven on Wed., Feb. 23, 2011. She retires from her roles as a wonderful wife for almost 61 years and “The Best Mother in the Whole Wide World”. Over the years, she supported her husband as his secretary in several business ventures and in his work restoring and expanding Wichitas Veterans Memorial Parks. She was born on Oct. 14, 1925 in Lawrence to Benton and Olive Howard. Survivors: husband, Philip W. Blake, Wichita; children, Sally (Stuart) LaMont Dubey, San Rafael, CA, Laura (Bill) Auchterlonie, Wichita, and Kenneth (Kathy) Blake, Ortonville, MI; 7 grandchildren, Jasmin Dubey, Scott (Amanda) Auchterlonie, Lisa Auchterlonie, Kyle Auchterlonie, Sally Auchterlonie, Elizabeth Blake and Emily Blake; 3 great-grandchildren, Chloe Yocky, James Auchterlonie and Seth Auchterlonie.
