63, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018. Rosary, 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 2; Funeral Mass, 10 a.m., Thursday, January 3, both at St. Anne Catholic Church. James was a member of Knights of Columbus, a retired truck driver and a former firefighter for the Bohemia Fire Department on Long Island, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary Rooney. Survivors: brothers, Walter and Dennis Rooney; 3 nieces; 1 nephew; 2 great-nieces; 1 great-nephew; many friends and fellow Knights. Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.
