Cecile Mae Kirner, 80, Retired Catalog and Credit Clerk at JC Penneys, died Thursday, December 27, 2018. Rosary will be at 4:00 pm, Sunday, December 30, 2018; Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Monday, December 31, 2018, both at Church of the Magdalen Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Alice Burklund; 4 sisters; 2 brothers; grandchild, Lauren Boyd. Survived by her husband of 59 years, Edgar “Ed” John Kirner; daughters, Brenda (John) Boyd, Roxanne (Kevin) Arnel, Janice (Jim) Simpson, all of Wichita, KS, Paula (Kenny) Kiekel of Douglass, KS; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Church of the Magdalen Catholic Church, 12626 E. 21st St. N., Wichita, KS, 67206. Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.

I worked with Mae at JCPenney for many years. We missed her this last month at the retirees luncheon. Mae will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a dear friend.
Prayers for the family who lost a great lady. I will miss seeing her at Shocker games. She loved her Shocker boys. I am so sorry for your loss.
