Norman Herbert Dahlstrom
87, retired Certified Manufacturing Engineer, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018. Rosary, 7 p.m., Friday, January 4; Funeral Mass, 10 a.m., Saturday, January 5, both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Norman was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, a prayer associate of the Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother and a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME). He was preceded in death by parents, Frank Herbert and Myrtle Christina (Papentien) Dahlstrom; son, Kenneth Dahlstrom; brothers, Clifford, Philip and David Dahlstrom, and sister, Audrey Shaffer. Survivors: wife, Salome “Sally”; son, Dennis (Pamela) Dahlstrom; daughter, Susan (Jeffrey) Irwin, all of Wichita, KS; daughter-in-law, Lori Dahlstrom of Las Cruces, NM; grandsons, Jason (Sharon) Dahlstrom of Las Cruces, NM, Branden Dahlstrom of Wichita; granddaughters, Heather (Tyler) Easterling of Ft. Collins, CO, Alayna and Elizabeth Irwin both of Wichita; great-grandsons, Jack and Ian Easterling and Sven Dahlstrom. In lieu of flowers, memorials established with St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 645 N. 119th St. W., Wichita, KS 67235 and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202. Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.
My heart goes out to you for your deep loss you must be feeling for your beloved Norman. How sad to lose someone so loved. May you find comfort in prayer and in one another. (Jeremiah 29:12,13)

We were saddened to hear of Norma death. Know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Myrna and Ray
Norm and I meant in 1988, I think, when he became my boss. He has been a source of leadership in my life and will be sorely missed.. But the Lord must have needed this brilliant Engineer to build a new Heavenly addition or new gold road. I will miss his wisdom and guidance. See you soon ole friend, you are gone but will never forgotten.. Sally you are married to a great man. So sorry he is gone from this world but you will see him again. His suffering is done.
