Dean M. Rev. Brown

Rev. Dean M. Brown, 84, minister, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Visitation with the family, 5-7 p.m., Thursday, February 26, Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Funeral Service, 1 p.m., Friday, February 27, Believers Southern Baptist Church. Dean served in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne. Preceded in death by parents, William and Hettie and siblings, Mary Alice, Tom, Bill, Janet, Bert, Gladys, Dave, Bonnie and Dick. Survivors: wife, Dona; son, Dennis of Maize; daughter, Denise Brown Schafers (John) of Wichita; grandchildren, Randal Schafers (Beth) of Mulvane, Alan Schafers (Katie) and Andrew Schafers all of Wichita; great-grandchildren, Mason Dean, Madison, Abigail and Alexander Schafers. Memorials established with Believers Southern Baptist Church, 13909 W. 21st St. N., Wichita, KS 67235 and Mooseheart Child City and School, Inc., 240 W. James Jay Davis Dr., Mooseheart, IL 60539 (Dean graduated from Mooseheart in 1949).
