Peterson, Leonard J. “Pete”, 87, retired Learjet mechanic, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011. Rosary 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 15 and Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 16, both at St. Jude Catholic Church. Pete served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Preceded in death by wife, Rosemary, parents, Elmer and Verna Peterson, son, James and daughter, Tammy. Survivors: daughters, Janet Barnes (Bob) and Lorry Swayze (Mark), all of Wichita; grandchildren, Brent Hisel, Kent Barnes, Lyndsay Stauble and Aaron Swayze; 6 great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with Central Prairie Honor Flights, 1817 16th St., Great Bend, KS, 67530. Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Rosary service 7:30 P.M. Wednesday at St. Jude Catholic Church
