Josephine Dolores Arteaga Leer, 80, Retired Daycare Provider, died Monday, January 28, 2019. Rosary will be at 6:30 pm, Friday, February 1, 2019, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary; Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 2, 2019, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Antolina Arteaga; brother, Robert Arteaga; great-nephew, Blake Shaffer. Survived by her husband, Robert Howard Leer; son, Bobby P.A. Leer; fur babies, Korky and Coco; sister, Carmen Blake, all of Wichita, KS; nieces, Teri (Mitch) Gee, Keli (Kevin) Shaffer, both of Andover, KS, Brandi Blake of Wichita; nephew, Tony (Cara) Blake of Overland Park, KS; several great-nieces and a great-nephew. Memorials have been established with: Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS, 67219; and Ronald McDonald House, 1110 N. Emporia Ave., Wichita, KS, 67214. Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.
