Lou Gene Terrell Southern

Southern, Lou Gene Terrell, died on September 28, 2012 at the Life Care Center in Wichita. Born October 6, 1919 in Dallas, TX. She was the daughter of the late Fields L. Terrell and George Ina Smith. She was predeceased by her husband Paul J. Southern. She is survived by two daughters Sharon K. Crockett and husband William of Lynchburg, VA, and Paula J. Kramer and husband Ray of Wichita, KS and a son Kirk T. Southern of Wichita, KS. She is also survived by three grandchildren Matthew Crockett and wife Elizabeth of Hampton, VA; Sharon Elizabeth Crockett of Poquoson, VA; and Sarah J. Kramer of Wichita, KS. She is survived by five great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. She was a career Air Force wife and was actively involved in volunteer activities wherever her husband was stationed. She had a life-long passion for art. She traveled extensively in the United States and Europe to visit major art museums and traveling collections. She had a special place in her heart for cats and gave many of them a loving home over the years.
