Barbara Jane Hanney

Barbara Jane Hanney, 94, beloved mother and grandmother passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018. Barbara was born on March 3, 1923 in El Dorado, KS to Lawrence and Marion Darnold. After marrying the love of her life, Bill, she went on to work as a bank branch manager and an accountant until she was 93 years old. Her sassy spirit and kind heart will be missed by all who knew her. Barbara was a longtime member of Hillside Christian Church, and services will be held there on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. Interment will be held at Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado, KS at 1:00 P.M. Preceded in death by her husband, William Hanney; sister, Mary Alice Miller. Survived by her son, Martin (Jayne) Hanney of Wichita; sister, Peggy Blanchard of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Chris Hanney, Sarah (Tyson) Corley, Jenny (Jordan) Lida, Amber Hanney, Katie Hanney; great-grandsons, Chandler, Weston, and Theodore.
