Heloise (Hillbrand) Kocour

Kocour, Heloise (Hillbrand), 81, passed away Saturday, February 26, 2005. Heloise was born in Beloit, KS, on June 10, 1923. She was the daughter of Earl K. and Ruth Cooke Hillbrand. Heloise attended Wichita East High School, Wichita State University, and Kansas University where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Following graduation in 1945, Heloise taught art in the Wichita schools. She continued to volunteer in the Chicago area schools and her neighborhood throughout her life. In 1945, Heloise married Max G. Kocour of Andale. From 1956 to 1992 they lived in Kenilworth on the North Shore of Chicago where they raised six children. In addition to her husband, Heloise is survived by four daughters, Ruth Anne Kocour, of Reno, NV., Camille Healy, of Omaha, NE., Colette Kocour, of Wellington, KS., Michele Kocour, of Phoenix, AZ.; and two sons, Steve, of Chicago, IL., and Mike of Phoenix, AZ.; and five grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at St. Elizabeth Chapel, Catholic Care Center. Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Andale, KS. A memorial fund has been established with Botanica, The Wichita Gardens, 701 N. Amidon, Wichita, KS, 67203. Visitation with the family 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 1, 2005, at Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
