Chambers, Phillip E., 80, retired Aero- Mach Labs partner, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 29, 2010. Phillip served as a Board Member and longtime volunteer with Union Rescue Mission and was a member of Kiwanis. A private family interment will be held, followed by a Memorial Service, Saturday, October 2nd, 11 a.m., at Calvary Baptist Church, in Derby. Phillip was preceded in death by parents, Oscar and Kelley (Andrews), and brothers, Artie and William Chambers. He is survived by his wife, Ladean (Stubblefield), sons, Jerry and his longtime partner, Rene Dukes, of Warner Robins, GA, Craig (Sharlene) of Wichita, and Kenyon (Susan) of Derby, brothers; Alfred (Polly), of Shawnee, OK, and John (Vickie), of Oilton, OK; sisters; Phyllis McDaniels, of Tulsa, OK; Lonna Chambers, of Florida; and Ruth (Larry) Wilson, of Oilton, OK; as well as 8 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Union Rescue Mission, 2800 N Hillside, 67219, Catholic Care Center, 6700 E 45th St. N., 67226, and Good Shepherd Hospice, 439 N McLean Blvd, 67203.

  1. Dear Ladean & family. We are so sorry to learn of Phil’s passing. Gary has always been very fond of him. I have also enjoyed getting to know you both.We are unable to attend his memorial but know that he will be greatly missed by many people. He’ll be in his beloved wild blue yonder. Hope to see you in the future. God Bless you and your family.

  2. When the Bible talks about respecting and going to our elders for mature discussion and advice, I think of two people–Phil Chambers and Jack Middleton. Phil was a really special person to me and my family! I visited him last Friday, but he was asleep. I’m so sorry I did not get to say Goodbye! But my wife just added, ‘But someday we will be saying Hello!’
