William Kimbrough Kim Banta

Banta, William Kimbrough “Kim”, 60, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013. Memorial Service will be at 3:00 P.M., Friday, June 14, 2013, at University Congregational Church. Kim was born in La Jolla, California on July 31, 1952 to Bill and Betsie Banta. He was an entrepreneur who began and ran his own construction/remodeling business after graduating from Wichita State. Kim was well-loved by many in the community and known for his consistent kindness, sense of humor, artistry and true craftsmanship in his trade. He was a member of University Congregational Church and served on its board for many years. A great husband and father, his wife Brenda survives him after 11 years of marriage. He is also survived by his children, Tiffany Moises (Sid), Christopher Lovely, Ian Banta (Jamie), Megan Lovely; grandchild, Delaney; in addition to his siblings, Susan and Tom, along with his parents and countless friends; and best friend, Murphy.
