Caffrey, Edward Robert “Bob”, 85, retired Cargill maltster, died Thursday, February 26, 2009. Rosary, 6:30 P.M., Monday, March 2; service, 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 3, both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Preceded in death by parents, Edward E. and Katherine (Lenneman) Caffrey; sister, Margaret Mary Caffrey; wife, Rosemary, and son, Jim. Survivors: sons, Richard R. Caffrey, M.D. (Lynn) of Longmont, CO, Daniel M. Caffrey (Manna) of Shawnee; daughter, Susan K. Sullivan of Wichita; brother, Joseph Caffrey of Charleston, SC; sister, Eleanor Jean Caffrey of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren, Michelle and Brian Orme and Ty Caffrey; step-granddaughter, Jennifer Shanika. Bob will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with American Cancer Society, 818 N. Emporia, Suite 100, Wichita, KS 67214. Downing Lahey Mortuary West.

To Bob’s family: I don’t think we have ever met, but we lived across the street from your parents for several years. We had four small children at the time and your parents were always so nice to us and wonderful neighbors. Always a friendly smile and wave and a minute to stop and talk. We have such fond memories of your dad and are saddened by his death. We will keep your family in our prayers. May God Bless all of you.
