Fredrick “Del” Kettler

Kettler, Fredrick “Del”, 84, retired Boeing manager, died Saturday, October 2, 2010. Funeral service 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Del spent over 40 years at Boeing and was Supervisor of the publication section in the Engineering Department. He was also President of the Boeing Management Club. Del was active in civic affairs with the 20/20 Club and helped start the Midway Cosmopolitan Club. He was married to Patricia for 56 years and successfully managed her Register of Deeds campaign. Del was a member of the board of Trustees at Wichita State University, and helped start the Clayton - Staples Scholarship Fund. He was appointed to the Metropolitan Art Board and the Wichita Art Museum Board. Del also advocated for the Art Museum to be kept in the park. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fredrick and Blanche (Delvaux) Kettler, and his wife, Patricia. He is survived by two sons, Chris of Wichita, and Von, of San Diego, CA. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with the Clayton - Staples Scholarship Fund at Wichita State University, 1845 Fairmount, Wichita, KS 67260.
