Fahrbach, Betty Jean Kerschen Breitenbach, 82, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2011. Rosary, 7 p.m., Thursday, October 6; Funeral Mass, 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 7, both at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Graveside Service will follow at 2 p.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery, Andale. Betty was born on October 27, 1928. She attended Andale High School and Wichita University. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Tony Kerschen; her sister, Eileen Hinds; her daughter, Jeanne Spexarth, and her first husband and father of her eight children, Roman Breitenbach. Survivors include her husband of 18 years, Dean Fahrbach; her children, Mona Pelz (Monte), Linda OShea (Don Wineke), Mari Gutschenritter (Bob), Kim Hamilton, Kurt Breitenbach (Kim), Kenny Breitenbach (JoAnn) and Kathy Robertson (Dave); her stepsons, Timm Fahrbach and Mike Fahrbach. Betty was a loving grandmother of twenty-one grandchildren, Julie Hying, Andy Pelz, Erin Pelz, Mary Terhune, Rachel Wineke, Ryan Gutschenritter, Luke Gutschenritter, Sara Askew, Claire Hamilton, Emily Hamilton, James Hamilton, Annie Koch, Alex Breitenbach, Sam Breitenbach, Cameron Breitenbach, Chase Breitenbach, Evan Burgmeier, Hilary Burgmeier, Hanna Robertson, Connor Robertson, Megan Robertson, and step-grandchildren, Tom Fahrbach, Bill Fahrbach, Joe Fahrbach and Julie Fahrbach. Betty was also survived by ten great-grandchildren, her identical twin sister and best friend, Norma Simon, and her brother, E.C. “Bud” Kerschen. Memorials have been established with Harry Hynes Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS 67202 and St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church Building Fund, 3636 N. Ridge Rd., Wichita, KS 67205 Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Rosary, 7:00 P.M., Thursday, October 6, t. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church. Graveside Service, 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 7, St. Joseph Cemetery in Andale, KS.

What a blessing she was in each of your lives.She is a part of you and you are a part of her and she will always be with you.What a beautiful legacy she has left in her beautiful children,grandchildren and great grandchildren.You were all a blessing to her each in your own way.She loved you and she knew you loved her. In the end it is our faith,hope and love that sustain us.   3. What more can one person say about your Mother, other than what a beautiful Person she was both inside as well as outside. I am just so pleased that the 2 of us re-united online a few Years back. Today, I re-looked @ some Pictures (not e-mails) but real Pictures Mom sent me of your Family. She sent them 3/24/09. Not Pictured was Kenny?? and Kathy was in Az. She did send a follow up of Kathy tho. I just want to offer my Condolences and sincere tribute to a very fine Woman. That be your Mother, Aunt Betty.
