Mary Ellen Shockey 91, former secretary with the First Christian Church in Haysville for many years, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2018. Visitation, 6-8 p.m., Friday, March 2, Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Private burial service at Resthaven Cemetery. Funeral Service, 11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 3, First Christian Church of Haysville. Preceded in death by husband, James Henry Shockey; parents, Edward and Rose (Wolff) Misak; son, Darrell Shockey; daughter and son-in-law, Anetta and Mervyn Webster; sister and brother-in-law, Eleanor Anne and Galen Rapp; brother, Dale Misak. Survivors: sons, Duane (Pam) Shockey of Haysville, Leonard (Greg Starr) Shockey of Olathe; sister-in-law, Edith Misak of Caldwell; grandchildren, Richard (Christine) Shockey of Tulsa, OK, Traci (Lawrence Cosby) Webster of Dallas, TX, Sheila (Dave) Briggs of Wichita, Wendi (Michael) Green of San Francisco, CA, Angela (Gary) Belshe of Winfield, Kimberly (Rob) DeWitt of Dallas, TX; great-grandchildren, Hadley and Ella DeWitt, Emberlee, Isabella and Greyson Belshe, Siona Shockey, Justin Musick, Solomon and Lydia Briggs, along with many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
