Lillian Lily Allen

Allen, Lillian “Lily”, 82, retired long distance telephone operator for Southwestern Bell, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012. The service will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 5 at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. A private graveside service will be held at the Winfield Veterans Cemetery. Preceded in death by husband, Robert Allen; parents, Nels and Petra Schjei; 4 sisters and 5 brothers. Survivors: nieces, Karen Martindale (Don) of Sedan, KS and Kay Guinty (Gary) of Topeka, KS; and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. A memorial has been established with Winfield Good Samaritan Village, 1320 Wheat Rd., Winfield, KS 67156 and Church of Christ, 208 S. Spruce St., Sedan, KS 67361.
