ODonnell, Jessie Ann, 79, retired Derby Postmaster, died Friday, January 28, 2011. The Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m., Monday, January 31 with Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 1, both at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Jessie was born August 18, 1931, in Lincoln, NE to Albert and Marie Culp. She was an avid quilter and an active member of the Prairie Quilt Guild. Jessie also enjoyed reading, using her computer and watching college sports; especially KU Basketball. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph “Jack”, her parents, Albert and Marie Culp, her sister, Polly Huff and brothers, Harold and Herb Culp. Jessie is survived by her sons, Matthew of Wichita and Albert (Dr. Felice) of Los Angeles and daughters, Peggy Faulk (Dr. Ken) of Lompoc, CA, Kae ODonnell (George McAdams) of Wichita and Karol Sauer (Joe) of Wichita; 9 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and her sister, Mary Gordon (William) of Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to “Dear Neighbors” by the Sisters of St. Joseph at Mt. St. Mary Convent at 3700 E. Lincoln, Wichita, KS, 67218. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
